There’s a time to put in the work, and there’s a time to get inspired and learn. Today we focus on the second.
When I first got in touch with this “alternative way of living” by making money online, I started following all kinds of Gurus and random resources I could find. Some of them have sticked, and today I share the 10 best resources with you that I’m still following every week.
You can use all of them to learn about new and hot topics, find new motivation and ideas for your lifestyle business!
I would recommend to subscribe to the email list of the pages that look appealing to you, although I can truly recommend each and every single one of them as they are pure gold.
Pat Flynn of Smart Passive Income is like the idol for people in the “passive income” area online. He is authentic and natural and calls himself the Crashtest Dummy of online business as he’s constantly trying out new stuff for his followers.
Over the years Pat has built a massive following through his blog, the Podcast and Shows he’s hosting and still delievers massive value week in and week out.
If you want to follow only one of the ten, go with Pat. If I ever get to San Diego I’d love to meet him in person one day.
Nick Loper calls himself the Chief Side Hustler and shows new ideas for starting your own side business every week. I feel like there’s no business type or idea he hasn’t talked about yet new Podcast episodes and posts float in all the time.
Especially if you are still not how sure how to get started or what possibilities you actually have, scroll through the SHN archive and listen to a few podcast episodes to get inspired!
Fizzle is a team of young entrepreneurs who all tried their luck with different endevaours and finally settled on helping people like you and me.
Reading their topics and listening to their show feels like they are your buddies, but their strategies, courses and help is very serious and solid.
I still remember laughing my ass off on the car about Chase Reeves, so if you enjoy a good combination of fun and learning, follow Fizzle or join their program (I’ve been a member there before).
Ok the name sounds super catchy, but the stuff Ramit Sethi talks about is serious business. He is a master of analyzing what works and has build a massive team around his products that generate millions in revenue.
This may sound like a scam but Ramit is just honest and has a different way of presenting stuff.
The topics here might be one step further compared to the first few, but the material he gives out for free is better than the paid material of some other sites out there!
Talking of sleazy names, this one follows directly. Daniel might as well sound a bit crazy sometimes, but he has earned the right to talk like he does by proving that he can build a real business.
Daniel helps people to use the tools of this century to come up with their own business. He also likes to share thoughtful stuff, so if you like some not-so tactical advice or higher level thinking from time to time, definitely check out his material and book.
Natalie Sisson is a traveling entrepreneur who (just like me) put’s her life at first and builds her business around the life she wants to have.
She is helping others to achieve the same freedom she already has in her life by sharing inspirational stories of herself and other bloggers from around the world. She combines knowledge with inspiration which results in a great mix that helps and get’s you thinking at the same time!
Derek Halpern is unique. Some hate him and his attitude, some love it. But he definitely knows what he’s talking about and he loves numbers.
Derek is also the master of hard selling, in case you struggle with selling stuff to people or how to talk to people, read through his guides and learn to be a better seller.
If you are looking for tactics and detailed help on specific topics, Social Triggers is a must follow for you!
Perhaps not as popular as some of the before mentioned I still like the way Sean is presenting topics. And he is awesome at writing super in-depth articles on different topics that will actually guide you from 0 to a finished blog/product/whatever.
He’s also traveling the world as a nomad so if you value traveling and working, Location Rebel is for those who want to see more of the world or perhaps even become a digital nomad on their own!
If the name wasn’t taken that’s what I had picked for this blog. And the content is all around: How to quit your job and do meaningful work.
But this blog is not about some vague inspiration, they come up with real tactis and detailed guides on how you can finally build your own business so you can quit your job in the (near) future.
If you still struggle to get started, this blog will guide you to take the right actions to make progress towards your lifestyle business!
10. Melyssa Griffin
Although a touch of girly, I like the resources and beautiful designed materials that Melyssa puts out on her blog, formerly know as the Nectar Collective.
Melyssa is also super deep into Pinterest marketing, so in case you already enjoy Pinterest you should definitely check out her material to see how you can grow your Business through pinterest!
